Player Evaluation Form

Throughout the league season, the United Dragons League Managers have been taking notes on each individual player after each game, focusing on strengths and areas of development.
We are constantly assessing each child and are frequently thinking about ways in which to accelerate the development of all players.

At United Dragons, we are therefore delighted to introduce the inaugural mid-season player report for your child which will contain a summary on how the season is going; identifying strengths and key attributes whilst touching upon areas we believe can be developed further.

Within the player report form, we have included a ‘self-evaluation’ section for your child to complete. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to critically analyse their season so far and start to think on ways continue to their development.

The Power of self-evaluation

There is nothing like a good honest look at yourself in the mirror to propel you to take your game to the next level. Your involvement enables you to honestly assess your strengths and also areas you need to improve. Self-evaluation is imperative for anyone who is passionate about improved performance. As a coach, I am constantly evaluating myself and always seeking ways to increase my own levels of performance. This should be no different to each player!

When you self‐evaluate, you become an active participant in your own evaluation.  Your involvement enables you to honestly assess your strengths and also areas you need to improve.  You then can participate more constructively in the evaluation discussion with your coach.  Self‐evaluation also serves to increase commitment to goal setting/achievement whilst encouraging you to become more responsible for your own learning.

Catch up with your coach

Once the player reports have been completed by both coach and player, we will be conducting short zoom conversations with each player/parent to discuss the report. This is a fantastic opportunity to make any amendments, further discuss your progress at United Dragons and set any additional targets for the remainder of the season.

If you would like to book a slot to catch up with your coach, please email chris@uniteddragonsfc.com
