Excitement and anticipation was building in the North London area whilst and it was our U7 and U9’s that kicked off proceedings.

U7s Mini Matches

Emotions were at a boiling point in the U7 opening game where the rip roaring, end to end action resulted in our boys earning a well-deserved victory, courtesy of a beautifully placed strike from the impressive Rory Galvin. Our young dragons suffered defeat in the very next game, however coach Chris made changes and the Dragons once again attacked with zeal. The boys bounced back to claim two solid draws to end the day with 1 win, 1 loss and 2 draws. Coach Chris emphasised how impressed he was with the team work shown by the boys.

Our girls played some excellent football and the tie certainly served up plenty of entertainment. Our Dragons were a constant threat on the opposition goal but struggled to break down their stubborn defence. Superb performances throughout.

Our girls put up an almighty effort against a team that were head and shoulders above them in height and in age. This game was truly, David V Goliath. The girls played some slick football and nearly found themselves taking the lead from the dangerous Asher. Ultimately the girls lost but won the hearts of all the spectators. Coach Chris was super proud and has faith that these dragons will have a successful season.
