Kick-off the year on the right note
Celebrate 2020 by helping Alive and Kicking to give more young people access to sport and vital health education and receive some great goodies in return!
Our Impact
In July 2018 United Dragons and Alive and Kicking came together to support communities facing disadvantage. Since then, through the power of football the UDFC family has raised over £16,000 which has helped develop and deliver A+K’s new mental health programme to over 3,500 young people, provide 8,000 children with access to a durable A+K football and ensure over 550 A+K employees and their families have access to a sustainable income. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved and we cannot thank the UDFC community enough. In 2020 we want to increase our impact so we can give more young people access to sport and vital health education while empowering adults to support themselves and their families through sustainable employment.

How can you support?
2020 is an exciting year for our partnership as A+K launch their 2020 strategy. By 2023 they aim to have given over 9 million children access to sport through A+K ball donations, to be reaching 10,000 young people on an annual basis through their innovative health programmes and to be sustaining over 200 full time ethical jobs for adults facing economic and social disadvantage. Here’s how you can get involved.
Easter Egg Hunt (Date TBC) – Taking place at Regents Park, UDFC players will have the opportunity to venture on an A+K themed Easter egg hunt once their Sunday football session has come to an end. Will they be able to find one of the unique A+K Easter egg balls?
Family Football Marathon (June 20th) – Following on from last year’s success we will be returning for another 12 hours of family football marathon madness. Last year we had over 100 participants from two years old and up and this year we would love to double the number of players. You can take part for a little or as long as you like. To show your interest please click here
Cycle Kenya - An exciting opportunity to witness the impact of A+K’s work in person while taking on an epic cycle challenge across some of Kenya’s most beautiful landscapes. You’ll be welcomed by our local team, witness our work in person and then spend a week cycling your way across the slopes of Kenya’s Taita Hills, hanging out with elephants, giraffes and other animals along the way. With every pedal push you will be helping to create ethical employment for vulnerable adults while giving young people access to sport and vital health education. You’ll even donate locally made A+K balls to communities and children along the route – You can find out more here and please do share with friends and colleagues.
On behalf of UDFC and A+K, thank you for your support and we look forward to increasing our impact over the next 12 months. Here’s just one of the teams who benefited from our partnership https://vimeo.com/238925705
