UD September News: Training Topics
We are delighted to announce that United Dragons FC are back to full operation and delivering training sessions to over 500 children throughout the week. With fitness being more important than ever - I think we are all doing a great job keeping the children healthy and having fun on the field - so go you Parents!!
Our Saturday and Sunday training is booming with an influx of new players joining the club. We are especially proud of our Little Dragons players (aged 2-4 years) who train on Sundays, many of these children having had their first footballing experience with United Dragons FC, certainly more than a few exciting prospects in that group!!
Our girls football is our fast growing programme with over 50 league players and many of which also train during the week.
The main focal topics we have been coaching the children are:
1v1 beating the defender
2v2 games
Passing
Passing and Switching Play
Our next set session plan topics are:
Finishing
Finishing Part 2
Chaos Games
Chaos Games Part 2
We are excited to reveal we have a brand new Monday session based in Paddington Rec Park from 4-5pm coached by our coaching director Chris and Director of Futsal Denerson.
Our Wednesday session based in Paddington Rec Park is attended by 35 of our UD girls players where they work on a variety of skills as well as tactical awareness drills during the 4-5pm session.
Our final midweek training option is on Fridays. We are still currently delivering this session in Paddington Rec
Park whilst we await our return to St Johns Wood Harris Academy.
Our session is from 5-6pm and we have one session for football and another for Futsal. Our Futsal programme has been a huge hit with our players - during the Futsal session players will be playing with a modified football which is weighted to allow the players to take more touches of the ball whilst it’s mostly on the floor. We have seen a drastic improvement in our players who have taken up this opportunity.
We have been so proud of everyone at the club - Go UD!
