UD OCTOBER NEWS: TRAINING UPDATE

With Half Term nearly finished, we feel it is important to reflect on the achievements made by our UDFC players this month.

Firstly, we want to thank you parents so much, these months aren’t the warmest, but seeing your little ones take to the field, impresses us each day.

October has seen a lot of new starters join United Dragons and we Welcome them all to the club, it's great to have so many children eager to play football and continue sport with us.

This month has been all about ‘chaos games’ - from any age and ability, it’s important to introduce the chaos part of the sport - this is a realistic coaching session teaching quick thinking and reaction speed; like most vocations, when taught in a speedy environment, we often learn quicker. We as a coaching team have been proud of all the players who have taken to this.

Our U5s & U6s players are really starting to grasp passing the ball with different parts of their foot whilst our U8s are now passing the ball with their weaker foot. It has been so pleasing to see so many improvements this month.

We are midway through the UD football curriculum and small sided matches will be our focus in the coming weeks in order to put their knowledge and skills in to a game.
