When Fashion meets Football - UD x Katharine Hamnett
When Fashion meets Football - United Dragons have partnered up with the iconic designer Katharine Hamnett on a bespoke clothing range celebrating our amazing partnership with our charity partners Alive and Kicking.
Katharine Hamnett's (CBE) oversized T-shirts with large block letter slogans, launched in 1983, were adopted by pop bands, including Wham!. George Michael wore his white "CHOOSE LIFE" shirt in the music video for "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." You’ll all recognise her iconic ‘Vote Trump Out’ t-shirts as well. Her label was founded as a basis to use fashion for good.
We are thrilled to announce Katharine has created a bespoke range of T-shirts and Hoodies for UD celebrating the work we all do, supporting our fantastic charity partners Alive & Kicking.
Please join our Instagram page on Wednesday 27th January at 19:00pm with a LIVE Instagram with Daryl and Edith Bowman to kick-off the launch.
We’ll be sending out an email this Wednesday with all the details about the collaboration, but for now, here is what all of us at United Dragons FC & Alive and Kicking have achieved thus far:
So far we have helped Alive and Kicking tackle the following in Sub-Saharan Africa!
• Helped 11,700 remote young people have access to a ball
• Funded 124 Alive and Kicking employees
• Funded the development of Alive and Kicking's innovative and effective mental health program, reaching 7,886 young people weekly.
• Supported the delivery of Alive and Kicking's innovative HIV education program, now reaching 6,052 young people weekly
We can’t wait to share all the details of the new collaboration on Wednesday 27th January!!
